The evenings are starting to draw in, the log fires have been lit and we have served our first hot chocolate of the season. Autumn is definitely starting to bed in and we have a season of fun planned for older ones and little ones.
As the autumn takes hold, we will be hosting an Oktoberfest takeover from Friday 5 until Sunday 7 October. The Bavarian-themed weekend will feature a tap takeover on the bar, bratwurst and salty pretzel treats. Live music on Friday and Saturday evening from 9pm, lederhosen not required but advised.
On Friday 12 October we will be hosting our first Gin and Jewels evening with the lovely ladies from Stella and Dot. Sample a selection of delicious artisan gins and browse the stunning selection of jewellery on display. Tickets are just £10 and 50% of the ticket will be donated to Bunbury Aldersey CE Primary School and Early Birds Nursery. Tickets can be purchased from the bar.
We will be inviting little ones to take part in pumpkin carving in the garden from Monday 29 until Wednesday 31 October, from 10:30am until 3pm. On Friday 2 November we’ll be hosting the first of our annual Halloween fancy dress parties. We expect to see Bunbury’s finest Frankenstein’s, ghosts and witches and a £50 bar tab will be given to the best dressed on the night. We will have some spooktacular drinks for you to sample and a DJ playing the best menacing tunes from 9:30pm.
The Halloween merriments will end on Saturday 3 November with a pumpkin carving competition. There will, of course, be mulled cider available from the bar and hot pork sandwiches on the menu!
To set off the Christmas festivities we’ve partnered with The Cheshire Wine School to bring guests a sumptuous wine tasting on Wednesday 5 December. The evening will feature fuller flavour white wines and some bold full-bodied reds. Tickets are just £35 per person and are available from www.cheshire.wine.
